Lead IoT Wearable UI/UX Designer and Strategist

Responsibilities

  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core and new functions and features.
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring visual and design simplicity to complex design roadblocks.
  • Create and drive project roadmap by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products.
  • Identify design problems and technical limitations, devising elegant solutions.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for various devices and interfaces.
  • Present and communicate design decisions and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive stakeholders.
  • Promote user-centered design within teams.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define requirements and concepts, leveraging user-centered design into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Work with SMEs, Product Owners, Scrum Teams, and Development teams to ensure final product design is as intended.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  • Ensure accessibility standards are followed.

Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in UI/UX design and strategy.
  • Previous project experience focused on WCAG 2.1 Level AA Compliance or accessible design.
  • Project roadmap and design interaction project management experience.
  • Advanced Interaction Design experience, particularly with wearables and companion applications.
  • Experience with both mobile and responsive design.
  • Experience leading user experience design on projects, including client/stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to present portfolio and designs with storytelling and process articulation.
  • Proficient in Miro, Figma, or other visual design and wire-framing tools.
  • Proven experience in creating stunning User Interface Designs.
  • Solid understanding of wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
  • Strong grasp of user-centered design (UCD), user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
  • Experience in creating and/or maintaining design systems.
  • Expert written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective problem solver with innovative solutions.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and openness to feedback.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Effective at juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
