UX Visual Designer, Lens, Search

Responsibilities

  • As a Visual Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution
  • Collaborate with other leads to form a cohesive offering across Google products
  • Work across programs to define, maintain, and evolve the tools, processes, and communication around asset management
  • Leverage principal contributors to explore concept development to influence product, point-of-view around visual style, and product commitments
  • Defend Google products and brand promise
  • Partner with visual programs within the organization to evolve and apply new design styles and aesthetics for products

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience developing UX patterns, components, and interaction frameworks by working across multiple designers and researchers
  • Experience collaborating with product managers, researchers, engineers, and other members of the UX team to strategize and design user journeys
  • Ability to influence designers working on disparate products to drive key design flows, behaviors, and logic focused on bringing cohesion across the experiences
  • Ability to translate abstract concepts into experiences using skills in motion design and UX prototyping
