About the Role
As a UX Researcher, you'll work closely with senior researchers, UX designers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to uncover user needs, behaviours, and motivations. You’ll support small to medium-sized projects while developing hands-on experience in planning, conducting, and synthesising user research that directly impacts product direction and user experience.

Reporting into the Lead UX Researcher, this is a permanent full-time role, to be based in Chatswood Sydney head office, along with a hybrid home/office arrangement to support a healthy work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting user research for products and features using qualitative and (optionally) quantitative methods
- Support small to mid-sized projects, guided by experienced senior researchers
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand research objectives and align on key questions
- Analyse and synthesise data into actionable insights
- Advocate for user needs across design, product, and development teams
- Stay informed about competitor products and industry trends
- Help with research operations including participant recruiting and compliance processes
Requirements
- A degree in Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, Human Geography, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience user research, preferably within a product or technology environment
- Familiarity with a variety of research methodologies (interviews, observations, usability testing, task analysis, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional setting
- Curious about complex systems like the legal industry (no legal background required!)
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Eagerness to learn and develop your research toolkit
