UX Designer II - Reporting & Analytics

Responsibilities
- Be the architect of impactful data experiences!
- Our leaders and customers expect and encourage us to push the boundaries of what an enterprise product could be, envisioning across all platforms to directly impact the product roadmap and our customer’s goals
- Your product UX design vision sees 1-2 years into the future and evolves by listening to customers and ideating ground breaking solutions
- You identify and surface UX issues and opportunities ensuring that they are closed out
- You lead collaboration across software development, product management, and product marketing
- You create fluid, intuitive user experiences that scale seamlessly across desktop, mobile applications and push into paradigms such as voice
- You design solutions that scale for millions of customers with a variety of needs and jobs to be done
- Develop a new standard in how core design patterns are shared and documented ensuring that engineers around the globe can seamlessly tap into the patterns allowing them to independently build with confidence
- Spend time with a customer learning from them what would make Qualtrics integrate into their workflow and improve the quality of their work
- Create detailed wireframes and designs that make our products easier for customers to use
- Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to plan future improvements
- Showcasing technical acumen and being able to grasp technical concepts early on will be beneficial
- Attend a UX team critique - inform and support the work that is being presented by your team members and help inspire other members of the team
- Use research data to suggest and implement design improvements that benefit our customers
- Keep up with modern design trends, especially in the business intelligence and analytics space, to make our products more user-friendly and competitive
- Modernize visualizations, streamline workflows (export, share, scheduling and more), and design scalable components that empower users to go from data to action, fast
- Experiment with AI-assisted design tools and technologies to streamline your work, generate ideas, and enhance your prototyping capabilities
Skills
- Working as a UX Designer in a Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment requires a blend of traditional UX skills along with a deep understanding of the platform's architecture, users, and their needs
- Qualtrics is a fast paced, dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to build on and expand your experience through working on high impact projects, utilizing cutting edge tools and technologies, troubleshooting challenging problems and working alongside like minded and driven technical professionals
- 3-5 years as an information architect, user experience or interaction designer
- Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or related fields such as Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Arts, or Computer Science
- Have designed, shipped, and maintained multiple products and features with an online portfolio that showcases this work and your process
- Experience working with cross-functional partners on teams including product managers, engineers, researchers, data scientists, and product marketing managers
- Experience designing complex systems and tools, designing business intelligence or analytics tools, designing interactive data visualizations and dashboards
- Experience designing for platforms, enterprise software, or large systems that require holistic thinking
- Experience working with engineering and other technical partners to ensure that the user experience aligns with the platform's capabilities
- Ability to work cross functionally and influence stakeholders with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of web accessibility principles and experience in building for accessibility
