UI/UX Interaction Designer
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will bring static designs to life through thoughtful microinteractions, seamless transitions, and dynamic prototypes that enhance usability and brand expression.
- You will partner closely with product, engineering, and brand teams to create interaction patterns, prototype user flows, and design motion that improves both experience and functionality.
- While a strong visual and motion sense is valued, this role primarily focuses on how users move, interact, and feel across our digital products.
- If you thrive in fast paced environments designing elegant human-computer interactions, enjoy sweating the details of motion in service of UX, and are excited to prototype the future of modern interfaces, we'd love to meet you.
- Design microinteractions, UI transitions, page flows, and feedback states that enhance usability.
- Build high-fidelity interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Principle, ProtoPie, or similar.
- Translate wireframes and static screens into dynamic, animated interaction experiences.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, UI/UX designers, engineers, and brand teams.
- Apply motion thoughtfully to guide user attention, reinforce action feedback, and build emotional connection.
- Define and document interactive patterns and behaviors for design systems and developer handoff.
- Push creative boundaries while staying aligned with our evolving brand identity and design standards.
- Create motion studies and prototypes to validate interaction concepts.
- Stay current on UX design patterns, microinteraction trends, and emerging prototyping tools.
Skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design with a focus on interaction and motion.
- Deep understanding of UX principles, usability heuristics, and user-centered interaction design.
- Proficiency in prototyping tools (Figma, Framer, Principle, ProtoPie, or similar).
- Experience creating high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that demonstrate behavior, not just visuals.
- Strong grasp of motion design principles as they apply to user experience (ease, timing, feedback).
- Strong visual design skills: layout, typography, color theory, component design.
- Experience working in agile or cross-disciplinary product teams.
- Ability to clearly articulate interaction rationale to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable preparing prototypes for handoff to developers and guiding implementation quality.
- Familiarity with Lottie/Bodymovin for lightweight UI animation.
