Figma/Design Systems Specialist
Responsibilities
- Work across the Workspace suite of products to integrate automation and AI related features on first party surfaces
- Produce high quality, high fidelity mocks and user journeys in Figma, including the use of components, auto layout, and prototypes in a highly cross-functional collaborative working style
- Develop strong UX narratives that reinforce product strategy with user value narrative and systems-based design considerations
- Produce Slides presentations to communicate UX designs to stakeholders
- Attend necessary product meetings with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
- Work independently as well as collaboratively with the team
- Act as a partner to engineering teams, supporting implementation through specifications and other materials required to convey design intent
- Bug tracking tools like Jira
- Define the standards for existing and new requirements for Client Ads
- Design new patterns and components for built on Client's Material brand language to reflect the needs of Client Ads Products
- Document the usage, accessibility, and design specs for components within the Client Ads Design System spec
- Own the review process between multiple teams within Client (Reach, Eng, Material) and address feedback
- Respond to and close bugs related to current components by improving designs
- Work closely with Eng and PM partners to ensure components and patterns are well-documented
- Contribute strategically to the development of an improved process around pattern definition and documentation
Skills
- 5–10 years of experience building digital products with cross-functional teams
- Advanced Figma skills, including: (responsible) components, auto layout, and prototypes
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams to spec and implement designs for web-based applications, mobile experience also preferred
- Specific Tools or Applications experience Certification or license
- Client Workspace suite of products (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or a related field + 2-4 years of post-baccalaureate experience in graphic design or a related field
