Tech Product Designer (UX/UI Designer)

Responsibilities

Your role will shift between UX research and UI design depending on project needs, ensuring flexibility and adaptability
You’ll work closely with the product and engineering teams to base designs on real data and user feedback, driving continuous improvements across the product
Your focus will include collecting actionable insights from user research (e.g., interviews, usability testing, analytics) to inform both UX and UI decisions
At times, your work will lean more toward research, while at others, it will center on creating user-centric interfaces
This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in the Boston, MA area

3-5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on both user research and visual design
Strong ability to conduct user research, including interviews, usability testing, and surveys, and synthesize findings into actionable insights
Proficient in Figma with a solid understanding of visual design principles
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with experience working closely with stakeholders and engineering teams
Ability to leverage analytics and user feedback to make informed design decisions and iterate on solutions
Creative in solving design challenges, with an understanding of how to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
Experience working with or contributing to a design system to maintain consistency and scalability across platforms
Nice-to-Haves: Experience with Jira, FigJam, Miro or similar, experience in agile environments, familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices, knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Hotjar and Mix Panel) to inform design decisions
