UX Writer
This role is part of the Product, Design & Marketing team on Apple Services, which includes a range of apps and services spanning productivity, entertainment, cloud, and commerce.
Responsibilities
- Working on feature development, naming, user flows, product logic, and education.
- Boiling down complex systems into coherent, concise, and compelling interface copy.
- Developing tone and terminology guidance for features and generated content.
- Creating structured training data for large language models.
- Evaluating model outputs and aligning to standards.
- Collaborating with cross-functional partners and senior leadership to define and execute our product roadmap.
- Addressing feedback and improving performance of our content and customer experience.
Skills
- You're a brilliant problem solver and excellent communicator with a passion for language.
- You recognize how words shape the user experience not just through meaning, but also their visual impact and emotional resonance.
- Possess 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working on conversational experiences such as chatbots or AI-driven interfaces, including dialogue, prompts, and system responses.
- Have an unrelenting passion for user-focused product experiences and curiosity about every step of the user journey, from onboarding to error states.
- Know how to work with wireframes and functional specs, and are familiar with design tools like Sketch.
- Ability to develop well-informed points of view, while also remaining open to adjustments based on input from others.
- Can write from scratch, edit existing copy, and think beyond the written word with input from multiple team members.
- Are comfortable managing several projects simultaneously and able to dynamically reprioritize as needed.
