Lead Product Designer, Growth

Responsibilities

  • Design experiences that shape the future of growth at Close
  • This role owns critical surfaces across the customer journey – from first impression through activation, engagement, and monetization
  • You'll move fluidly between strategy and execution, partnering with Growth, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Analytics teams to create industry-leading experiences that leverage AI to get users selling faster while maintaining our obsession with polish and detail
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and design for high-impact opportunities across the customer journey
  • Lead UX strategy and design for growth initiatives – including onboarding flows, A/B tests, pricing and packaging experiments, and retention touchpoints
  • Create AI-powered experiences that reduce friction and accelerate time-to-value
  • Translate insights from research and data into clear hypotheses, prototypes, and design recommendations
  • Move quickly from concept to production-ready designs, shipping multiple iterations per week
  • Ensure cohesive, customer-centered experiences
  • Champion user needs while balancing business objectives and technical constraints
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail and pixel-perfect execution while working at speed
  • Rapidly prototype new concepts – show don't tell
  • Drive consensus across stakeholders and present work confidently to senior leadership

Skills

  • 7-10 years experience in product design, UX strategy, or experience design
  • Proven experience working on a Product Growth team, ideally in B2B SaaS with deep familiarity with growth methods including A/B testing, funnel optimization, experimentation frameworks, retention design, and monetization flows
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft with obsessive attention to detail and measurable impact on growth metrics
  • Strong Figma skills and experience with design systems
  • Very strong UX skills and ability to synthesize user feedback into meaningful insights
  • Strong ideation and prototyping abilities – you make ideas tangible quickly
  • The ability to create sophisticated, scalable solutions across platforms
  • Deep understanding of human-centered design principles
  • Comfort designing with data – understanding metrics like conversion rates, activation rates, time-to-value, and retention
  • Excellent systems thinker – able to connect product strategy, customer insight, and design execution
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to articulate tradeoffs between design decisions, metrics, and business outcomes
  • The ability to work with vague direction and moving ideas forward through design methods
  • Experience working remotely with a high level of autonomy
