Studio Designer
Location: Denver, CO
Arrangement: Hybrid
Responsibilities
- The Studio Designer will be a creative multi-tool, managing multiple creative and production design responsibilities and executing a wide range of essential services—from original design to creative versioning to preparing creative materials for production
- Tasks include developing, versioning and resizing layouts for a multitude of print and digital executions; creating custom-designed materials according to creative briefs, building production mechanicals; designing and building presentations decks, and much more
- Understand project requirements and ideas
- Develop creative solutions in collaboration with more senior team members
- Use graphic techniques to create drafts, layouts, and final materials
- Design and/or version creative materials (both print and digital) based on established design language, executing materials including OOH, posters, print ads, emails, banner ads, social posts, etc.
- Finalize print and digital creative before layouts go into production; build production mechanicals
- Create comps for agency portfolio, case studies, and PR
- Provide creative support to all agency departments
- Use feedback from other designers or creatives to improve skills and process
- Create and maintain client brand assets (logo suites, brand guidelines, image libraries)
- Design, organize, and prep decks and other work for internal presentations, new business, and clients
- Perform image retouching and color correction on print and digital images
- Accomplish a range of assignments with deadlines and overlapping timelines and complexity
Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a designer and/or production artist within an advertising agency setting
- Very strong knowledge of digital and print production techniques and processes
- Computer literate with a deep skillset in the latest art and design packages, including a mastery of Adobe Creative Suite programs (specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) as well as Keynote, Google suite and font management
- Working knowledge of Figma, After Effects/Animation software, and/or photography is a plus
- Understanding and interest in basic AI capabilities and generation
- Strong knowledge of typography, layout, color theory, and appreciation of design and creative principles
- Keen eye for design, visual details, and accuracy
- Self-starter with the ability to proactively identify issues and troubleshoot solutions to problems as they arise
- Extremely detail-oriented and solution-driven
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and software as needed
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team player
