With an expanding library of product templates, Fabra offers a seamless transition from design to production, empowering users to design a wide range of products.

We’re seeking a passionate and creative Senior UI/UX Designer (or Head of Design) to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate is someone with 5 + years of experience in UI/UX product design with a sharp knack for crafting user-friendly and delightful user experiences that meet and exceed user expectations.

What You’ll Do:

As a UI/UX Designer at Fabra, you will work on:

  • UI/UX Design and Prototyping for Fabra Tool & Marketing Website

    • Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes to visualise design concepts, and create high fidelity, pixel-perfect user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and enhance usability.
    • User Flows: Design intuitive and effective user interactions and flows across different touchpoints of Fabra.
    • Information Architecture: Develop site maps, navigation structures, and information architectures to ensure content is well-organized and easily accessible.
    • Design Systems: Create design systems to maintain consistency across tool and website and contribute to it with our products growth to ensure seamless design-to-development handoff.
  • User Research

    • User Interviews: Plan and execute user interviews to gather insights on user needs, behaviours, and pain points.
    • Usability Testing: Organize and conduct usability tests to evaluate the effectiveness of designs.
    • Data Analysis: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and inform design decisions.
    • Personas and User Journeys: Create user personas and user journey maps to visualise user experiences and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Competitive Analysis: Research and analyse competitors’ products to understand industry standards and identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Secondary Responsibilities: Creative Design Support

    • Creative Design: Bring a strong creative eye to design projects, contributing to visually compelling and on-brand creative solutions. Demonstrate proficiency in motion design and general creative direction to enhance storytelling and user engagement across digital and print mediums.
    • Graphic Design: Assist in designing marketing collateral such as social media graphics, emails, infographics, and visuals for blog posts, marketing events, and more.
    • Deck Design: Support internal and external presentations by creating visually compelling slide decks.

What You Bring:

  • Industry Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing your work on digital platforms.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work effectively within an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and iterative design processes to align with fast-paced development cycles and adapt to changing priorities.
  • User-Centered Design: A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate user insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive approach to troubleshooting design challenges and implementing effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous eye for detail in design execution and the ability to maintain consistency across projects.

Important Note:

This is a Sydney-based role. While we offer hybrid work, our in-office days in Sydney are crucial for collaboration. If you're not currently in Sydney, relocation may be necessary.
