UX Designer Lead – Consolidation Map
Responsibilities
- This role will lead design efforts for a high-impact, consumer-facing digital platform focused on improving access to child care information and services
- The UX Design Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams—including product, research, content, and engineering—to refine and finalize designs ahead of platform launch, while also planning, prototyping, and testing enhancements for a future version release
- Post-launch, the role will focus on performance analysis, design iteration, and integration of new features
- Collaborate with product managers, UX researchers, content strategists, and developers to translate user needs into effective design solutions
- Create interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs for a public-facing web platform
- Conduct prototype testing, analyze findings, and develop actionable design recommendations
- Partner with content strategists to define and implement an effective content design strategy
- Support final design adjustments leading up to launch and contribute to the roadmap for subsequent versions
- Track performance metrics post-launch and refine designs based on user behavior and data insights
Skills
- Minimum 8 years of professional UX design experience, supported by a strong portfolio of consumer-facing digital solutions
- Portfolio link must be included in the resume
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, layout, spacing, and overall styling
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, with demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end design solutions independently
- Deep understanding of user-centered design processes, including journey mapping, low-to-high fidelity wireframing, and prototype development
- Ability to synthesize user research and data insights into testable design hypotheses and solutions
- Strong collaboration skills, including incorporating feedback from teammates and stakeholders to improve design outcomes
- Experience partnering with product managers and content strategists to translate requirements into design solutions
- Experience working closely with developers to validate prototypes and conduct visual QA to ensure design fidelity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and strategies to non-technical audiences
