Senior UI/UX Experience Designer

Responsibilities

  • Meet with key business and technology partners to translate requirements into user flows, annotated wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive customer experiences with options and articulate a clear point of view.
  • Facilitate the business vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping designs utilized for conceptual demonstrations and usability-testing with multiple options and articulate a clear point of view.
  • Design and deliver annotated wireframes, mockups for mobile, tablet, desktop devices and interfaces.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
  • Make strategic design and customer experience decisions related to new features and functions.
  • Take a customer-centered design approach and participate in rapidly testing and iterating designs.
  • Collaborate with the customer experience team, digital product managers, cross functional business partners, technology team and stakeholders.
  • Ability to advise global partners on customer experience design methodology and (accessibility) compliance.
  • Inspire and bring new ideas to the team through staying in the know of current design trends
  • Lead team design reviews. Provide feedback to grow the team
  • Establish and maintain design guidelines and collaborate with team members to ensure consistency across designs
  • Mentor less experienced designers
  • Lead specific areas with the UX/UI team such as Research, Usability Studies, etc.
  • Must follow all safe work practices, escalate unsafe conditions and report incidents.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years UI/UX design experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.
  • Expertise in standard UI/UX software such as Axure or other similar tool sets. Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and Adobe Suite software. Basic knowledge of latest versions of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Strong e-commerce knowledge with extensive experience in using user experience best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first design.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, usability and accessibility.
  • Proficient with gathering and utilizing analytical data to improve the customers shopping experience.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to business partners.
  • Ability to synthesize abstract ideas into concrete design interfaces.
  • Communicate closely with teams and stakeholders delivering design solutions for approval.
  • Passionate about all things UI/UX and resolving customer pain points through superior design processes.
  • Research and showcase knowledge in the industry's trends and technologies.
  • Team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create prototypes using latest versions of CSS, HTML and JavaScript
  • Organized, proactive and able to switch rapidly between multiple work efforts.
  • A digital portfolio of past work demonstrating breadth and depth of UX/UI design, conceptual thinking and creative problem solving across platforms
  • BS/BA or minimum of 6+ years professional experience in UI/UX or related field desired.
