Lead UI/UX, Design System Designer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Execute hands-on design of comprehensive, intuitive components, patterns, guidelines, standards, and design documentation while leading others to deliver innovative and usable visual forms and functions.
  • Proactively collaborate with UX designers across multiple product teams and monitor requests for the creation of new components and patterns.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to create technologically feasible design system assets and ensure accuracy of design system components implementation.
  • Conduct usability tests of components and patterns.
  • Facilitate design reviews to ensure adoption of the design system and provide guidance to cross-functional teams on effective usage and adherence to the design system.
  • Conduct ongoing design audits of product interfaces making sure design standards are followed.
  • Stay current with the latest design system and visual design trends, tools, and technologies and look for opportunities to improve and optimize it.
  • Champion design excellence and best of class user experience and advocate for the value of a cohesive design system across the organization.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate adoption of the design system and identify opportunities for enhancements.
  • Build strong, collaborative business partnerships with key stakeholders and vendors across geographies.

Skills:

  • Bachelors or Masters in Graphic Design, Human Factors, Interaction, Industrial or Product Design, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of visual design experience.
  • Proven experience as a design system leader that demonstrated successful design system implementation in a complex enterprise organization.
  • Strong hands-on proficiency in design tools, including Figma.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Solid understanding of design principles, usability, and accessibility standards.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining consistency and high design standards.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of design excellence, and being open to feedback and collaboration.
